Today on the Rank & File Podcast, I’m joined by an incredible social entrepreneur — Tim Scott of Mitscoots Outfitters.
During this conversation, Tim and I talk all about several growth strategies, spending significant time talking about storytelling — an important topic during the COVID-19 crisis that has many small businesses struggling for sales.
Leveraging some past military and ad world experience, Tim Scott has guided his team in growing Mitscoots into a national brand that has ultimately helped to lift individuals off the streets and out of homelessness. Through strategy, community building and grit, he’s bootstrapped a great social enterprise into 200+ retail partnerships with a significant e-commerce presence.
Pivoting off that experience and at the insistence of colleagues, Tim Scott also founded Benefit Branding, a full-service ad agency focused on social impact branding. With a unique technique for strategy, target audience insights, and long term planning, their team helps clients build customer relationships by telling their story in the best way possible, everywhere possible.
On top of all that, Tim also teaches branding and strategy as a professor of practice at the University of Texas in Austin.
If you are a fellow bootstrapping social entrepreneur then I know you will find this conversation full of insights and great wisdom that you can apply to your own purpose-driven business during COVID-19 and beyond.
